There are several pupils across Reception, KS1 and KS2 who require support with moderate learning difficulties and need extra support from someone with SEN experience and a Teaching Assistant who is confident handling SEMH needs.

What the school is looking for:

A Teaching Assistant with a passion for working with children with learning difficulties
A confident and knowledgeable Teaching Assistant willing to work as part of a team.
Experience working 1:1 with children with SEN needs
Empathetic and patient Teaching Assistants

The school has a large team of SEN Teaching Assistants who between them have many years experience and are willing to help each other out.

Classes are made up of pupils form very different cultural backgroundswhich provides a rich and engaging learning environment. The school also has exciting resources and they are fortunate to have plenty of open spaces.

They are located close to the Elizabeth line and Overground.

To join Tradewind and be successful in this SEN TA role you will need to have:

Experience and knowledge of children and/or young people with moderate learning difficulties
Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant either in mainstream or special provision
Able to manage mildly challenging behaviour and a want to build relationships with SEN children
Firm but fair approach to discipline
Able to commit to a longterm role starting immediately
Your CV must cover your entire employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
You must have the legal right to work in the UK
