An exciting opportunity has arisen a Marine Superintendent to join our Maritime Department.


The Role


In this role you will be responsible for the asset management of Life Saving Appliances (LSA) and deck department maintenance including structure, coatings, platforms, doors, and open decks.

You will liaise closely with ships' teams, regulatory bodies, and suppliers and be accountable for delivering a long-term strategy.

You will be pro-active in resolving short term defects and support the refit team; such that all ship's material condition in these areas is kept to the highest standards with safety as the top priority.


You will act as a key point of contact as required for the crisis management support and be required to attend the fleet on a regular basis to review/monitor the condition of the vessel.

As part of an integrated team, you will plan the annual repair, maintenance, and capital budgets for unplanned activities within your areas of technical expertise


Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities.

This role is a CUK07 and is offered on a full time, permanent basis, with at least two days based in our Southampton office.


About You
To be successful in this role you will need to have

  • Either a Marine Engineering degree or Naval Architecture bachelor's or higher degree Or have held a licensed position as Classification Surveyor
  • Extensive knowledge of maritime regulations
  • MARPOL, MEPC, SOLAS, Class Rules and applicable Statutory Legislation as well as good knowledge of Ship Repair, Structure and Statutory Regulations.
  • An understanding of Maritime vessel operations or significant knowledge on environmental processes and legislation is essential. Cruise industry experience would be beneficial.
