JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION

Insolvency and Recovery Administrator
Within
Insolvency and Recovery Department
Based in
Ipswich with visits to regional offices as required
Working hours
Flexible
This role is graded at Level 1 within our job grading framework.


The role

Main Responsibilities:


  • Creditor and debtor input on to Insolvency Practitioners System (IPS)
  • Preparing standard documents/letters from IPS and Insolvency and Recovery Department templates
  • IPS bank reconciliations, bank postings and managing departmental client accounts
  • Setting up and archiving working files
  • Fielding telephone calls and taking detailed messages where appropriate
  • Preparing bills on request from portfolioholders.
  • Preparing dividends on request from portfolioholders
  • Listing and archiving debtor records
  • Supporting senior staff in the progression and management of cases
  • Works closely with administrators, colleagues and senior members of staff in order to learn the fundamentals of insolvency and to become familiar with firm procedures and the IRD operational plan.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Very strong communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Excellent administration skills
  • Experience of using Microsoft packages including Outlook and computerised packages.
  • The ability to be empathetic and sensitive to clients individual financial circumstances
  • Strong organisation skills
  • An adaptable and tenacious attitude when working towards a solution
  • Confidence in developing relationships with people at all levels of the firm and with external training and service providers
  • Ability to multitask able to manage a number of different tasks to completion in a timely manner
