The Kent Oncology Centre has a vacancy for a Medical Secretary, based at Maidstone Hospital.

You will be part of a dedicated team, committed to delivering a high standard of service to cancer patients. Key responsibility will involve acting as a medical secretary for Consultant Oncologist.

Key tasks include audio typing, managing and maintaining the diary, updating patient records with correspondence and results and using effective communication skills to liaise with patients, their families and medical, nursing and other administrative staff as necessary; full training will be given.

Much work will involve the use of information systems; therefore a familiarity with computers would be an advantage. An understanding of the need for confidentiality is essential.
