Immediate Start - Ongoing

Salary - £90 - £110 Per day dependent on experience

Empowering Learning are a market leading education recruitment company.

We are working in partnership with a large Secondary Academy in Barnsley who are looking to appoint a Head of Year 3for an immediate start working within KS4 on a full time long term basis.

You will be there for pastoral support to students, supporting engagement in learning, and working as part of a wider pastoral team to support whole-school initiatives.

The school leadership help and support all members of staff to help them achieve their full potential.

The job

The school is looking for someone who is passionate about Pastoral Care and has previous experience of working as a Head of Year in a Secondary School.
In this exciting role, you will contribute to the strategic direction of school pastoral care.
To support the school in the implementation of agreed whole school policies and initiatives.
To plan and facilitate professional learning workshops as requested.
Have previous experience as a Head of year in a Secondary school setting
Have excellent behaviour management.
Have experience of improvement planning.
Have experience of implementing a range of strategies to raise student achievement, with evidence of success.
Contribution to impact on the quality of learning and pastoral care.
Have experience of highquality pupil tracking and feedback practices.
