Description
Responsibilities:
- Skill Development: implementing ageappropriate training sessions to develop fundamental football skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and ball control. The coach should create drills and exercises that challenge and engage the children while promoting skill development.
- Tactical Understanding: Introducing basic football tactics and strategies to children, including positioning, teamwork, and game awareness. Coaches should teach players how to make decisions on the field and understand their roles within the team structure.
- Coaching Sessions: Conducting regular training sessions and practice matches to help children improve their football abilities. Coaches should provide guidance, feedback, and encouragement to individual players, focusing on their strengths and areas for improvement.
- Safety and Wellbeing: Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children at all times. This includes implementing appropriate warmup exercises, teaching proper techniques to avoid injuries, and maintaining a safe playing environment.
- Character Development: Promoting important values such as sportsmanship, respect, discipline, and fair play. Coaches should encourage positive behavior, teach children to accept both victory and defeat gracefully, and foster a supportive team atmosphere.
- Communication: Effectively communicating with children, parents, and other coaching staff. Coaches should provide feedback and progress reports to parents, address concerns, and ensure that everyone is informed about training schedules, matches, and team expectations.
- Fun and Engagement: Creating a fun and enjoyable atmosphere during training sessions and matches. Coaches should motivate and engage children by using ageappropriate drills, games, and challenges that keep them excited about playing football.
- Continuous Learning: Keeping up to date with the latest coaching techniques, trends, and rules in football. Attending workshops, seminars, and training courses can help coaches enhance their knowledge and improve their coaching skills.

£12.00-£20.00 per hour
