Description

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Research Assistant to join Professor Fumiko Esashi's research group to investigate mechanisms underlying the innate fragility of centromere DNA and their implication on chromosome inheritance in human cells.

The post-holder will be responsible for managing own academic research and administrative activities.

You will assess several working hypotheses using a wide range of techniques in cell and molecular biology, troubleshoot or adjust experimental works to tackle the problem.

You will also be responsible for overseeing the daily housekeeping of the laboratory and undertaking tasks to ensure the efficient running of the laboratory.
