We are working with a key client in Manchester to hire for a new Supply Chain Assistant role and its purpose is to support the delivery of the Waste Operational Strategy (WOS).
The aim of the WOS is to provide a consistent, cost effective, legally compliantservice to the clients, which drives forward innovation.
They will be responsible for ensuring that site and service provider issues are resolved within a timely manner and will support the supply chain process when sites require retender.
In the Supply Chain Assistant role, you will work across:- Supply chain process support
- To promote the implementation of group wide policies, processes and procedures for strategic and operational supply chain management
- To develop a knowledge of Waste, the Supply Chain and the business through working with the Supply chain team and external parties
- Support the Supply Chain team to identify and inform the Supply Chain team for the requirement of new waste contracts.
- Waste Contract administration
- Provide the support in reviewing and collating data
- Provide support in data checking of the mandated sites waste data.
- To support the delivery of the Waste Operations Strategy
- To provide contract administration support to ensure KPIs are achieved and revenue generation opportunities are maximised
- Arrange and attend, where required, Quarterly contract management review meetings
- Support the information gathering process to inform the Supply Chain team of new waste contracts requirements
- Support the development of software solutions to track operational performance and KPIs
- Support in the delivery of clear communication for internal staff
- Ensure environmental compliance, data transparency and alignment to sector standards
- Drive innovation identifying opportunities for operational change and innovation
- Understanding of and experience working within the Property Management sector
- Understanding of the Waste management sector is beneficial
- Experience with contractor management including contractor monitoring
- Excellent data management skills with the ability to identify inconsistencies
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly at all levels
- Can do attitude with enthusiasm to champion change
