Job Summary
We are looking for an Assistant Retail Operations Officer/ Retail Operations Officer to support the Retail Banking team. Perform administrative, teller and customer service duties, customer on-boarding process (including account opening and customer due diligence process).


Assist in the smooth daily operations, handle customer requests and account updates, process client transactions in an accurate and timely manner.

Assist to handle specific projects (e.g. system testing, data management)


Main responsibilities:


  • Accounts opening, maintenance and related operations processing (e.g. change of account
information and follow up documentation)


  • Handle cash deposit and cash withdrawal
  • Customer Services and Enquiries Handling
  • Customers KYC and CDD/EDD periodic review
  • Undertake administration of the Bank's online banking (new registrations, maintenance and queries relating to it)
  • Daily transactions processing (e.g. Fund Transfer, Time deposit, Cheque Clearing, Banker Confirmations, Faster payments, Direct Debits and Standing Orders including passing appropriate entries and returning items)
  • Other retail operations (e.g. Bank statement posting, arrange for printing of client cheque and withdrawal slips books, filing clients' documentation)

Job requirements and skills:


  • Bachelor Degree within Finance or related disciplines
  • 23 years banking experience desired, preferably in a teller role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to details
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in spoken and written English, Cantonese, Mandarin preferable but not essential
  • IT proficiency, especially in Word and Excel
  • Strong time management skills
  • Knowledge of KYC and CDD reviews
