Our Design and Product Development is the founding principle the Dongyi Business has been built on. We offer high-quality fabrics /yarn at very competitive prices inexperienced factories.


We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to join our design team as an Assistant Designer for Women's Wear.

In this role, you will work closely with our design team to support the creation and development of seasonal collections that resonate with our target audience.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the design team to research and conceptualize seasonal trends, themes, and concepts for women's wear collections.
  • Assist in the development of sketches, technical drawings, and mood boards to communicate design ideas and concepts effectively.
  • Participate in fabric and trim sourcing, conducting research to identify new materials and suppliers that align with our brand's aesthetic and values.
  • Support the design team in creating detailed tech packs and specifications for sampling and production, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in fittings and garment evaluations, providing feedback on fit, construction, and quality to ensure the integrity of the final product.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and cultural influences to inspire and inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including product development, production, and merchandising to ensure alignment of design concepts with business objectives.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:


  • Degree in Fashion Design or related field.
  • Previous experience in a design role, preferably in women's wear.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong sketching and technical drawing skills.
  • Knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and fit.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for fashion and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment.
