This position is for Leo's Den Nursery located in Southwark, London.

At Leo's Den Nursery the staff provide children with the skills that they will need to help them with the next step to school.

Children will have fun while learning in the brightly themed jungle look rooms.

The trained caring staff will build a sound relationship with Parents and Carers to enable us all to give children the best possible start in early education and to cater for all children's individual needs.

All staff receive regular training and the nursery aims to achieve the highest possible standards of care for children.

Leo's den has strong links with a crèche in South Africa which adds to the children's learning experience and teach them about different cultures and about caring and sharing with others.

Leo's Den nursery help to raise funds to give to children in South Africa and give them chance to enjoy some of the equipment and toys that children within the setting are able to enjoy every day.

Essential Requirements - GCSE Maths and English C or 4, or an equivalent (Functional Skills level 2)

The main responsibilities of this job role will include:

Working towards
Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns
whilst having fun.
Being a team player.

Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children:

Taking part in First Aid training as required
Responsibility for equal opportunity in delivery, access and attitude in aspects of service delivery
Working with teams across the nursery setting

Supporting children's learning and development
:

Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children.
Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea.
Supporting children's selfhelp needs.

Being creative and enthusiastic.

Following Safeguarding rules and regulations to also meet the Standard of the Childcare Apprenticeship.

Level 3 NVQ - Advanced Diploma Early Years Educator - Your apprenticeship will last for 13 months. You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship, as well as a mentor within the nursery.
You will be working full time in the nursery.

Your classroom days will be based online as a remote session which you will need to be fully available for, and your main childcare apprenticeship work will be done in a nursery local to you.
