Job description:


To work closely with senior managers, providing them with administrative and practical support, freeing up their time to focus on their critical strategic and operational responsibilities.

Being trusted to handle sensitive aspects of operational and personnel work considerately and in confidence.

To liaise with CPS officials and other government departments and agencies on a range of issues as required.


To provide advice to senior managers as to the protocols and approaches to be taken on various organisational and procedural issues.


To act as the main liaison point for the senior manager (and their team as the occasion demands) with other government departments, agencies, various external organisations and the public.


Person specification:

Liaison with key internal and external stakeholders including other government departments, non governmental organisations and the public;
Diary, organisational and logístical management, including managing diary conflicts and prioritising key issues;
Organising and facilitating internal and external conferences;
Drafting agendas and minutes;
Coordinating internal submissions, including drafting and proofreading;
Creating internal reports;
Research;
Following operational procedures and where appropriate creating and
improving new processes;

Assisting the Complaints Coordinator with the monitoring and co-ordination of Parliamentary communications and complaints and ensuring strict deadlines are adhered too.
