What are Supercapacitors?


High energy density, low cost, low environmental impact electrical energy storage devices which will create a clean and sustainable global energy and transportation system.

They deliver energy quickly, unlike conventional batteries which are slower and whendisposed of, are harmful to the environment. These new supercapacitors are safe, fast and have the added benefit of reducing pollution and waste.

They are looking for a
Graduate Scientist to carry out a varied role, which includes
Polymer Science, Materials Science, Electrochemistry and Product Development

Your contributions will include:

  • Supporting and contributing to a range of R&D projects
  • Owning shortterm subprojects
  • Identify and manage availability of resources
  • Optimisation electrode structures and polymer formulations
  • Work on other key elements of the supercapacitor development
  • Carry out experiments and take electrochemical measurements
  • Data analysis, presenting your findings within the company
  • Large batch supercapacitor production and qualification
  • Own various processes and equipment (inc. maintenance)

About You:


  • Suitable Degree/Master's or substantial industrial experience
  • Handson skills in the optimisation of electrode structures and polymer formulations
  • Experience taking electrochemical measurements and data analysis
  • Interest in renewable energy or energy storage
  • Full right to work in the UK the company is unable to help with sponsorship
  • Ideally your own car, as the company's location can be a little tricky to reach by public transport
