About The Opportunity:

TES are currently looking for an Authorised Person within Electrification.

35 hours per week, working weekends, bank holidays and evenings.

This role will undertake switching, testing and earthing of the Overhead Line Equipment on Network Rail Infrastructure, working within all relevant Railway Group Standards and Network Rail Company Standards and in compliance with Generic Method Statement CR/GMS/001.

Key Responsibilities include:

To attend site meetings with the Nominated Person
To work under the direction of the Nominated Person
To work under the direction of the Electrical Control Room
To test and apply/remove local earths from the Overhead Line
To undertake switching duties on the overhead line
To organise staff members under their control
Carry out safety critical duties deemed to be within their capability and competence
Carry out Bonding and Inspections
Report fit for duty at all times
Ensure that the correct PPE is worn and competencies carried at all times when on duty
Participate in staff briefings as required
To work in compliance with all safety rules and regulations
To follow all reasonable instructions of supervisors and managers
Attend all courses and training briefings as required

About You:
You are required to have good geographical knowledge of the area, excellent communication skills and be IT literate.

The position will require travelling within the area so a full UK driving licence is essential with your own transport.

Ideally you should have the following knowledge and experience:

PTS AC/DCCR
First Aid for electrical accidents
First Aid for electrical burns

AP OLE/AC

AP OLE/AT

COSS OLP/CRP LL

OLEC

Knowledge of Network Rail rules and regulations
Good communication
Attention to detail
Teamwork
Work to deadlines
Proactive
Problem solving skills
Able to commit to weekend and night shifts Friday to Monday
