Description

RA on Climate Vulnerability and Social Assistance:

Overview of the Role:

Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a background in social science or the social dimensions of climate, environment or related issues? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK's leading research intensive Universities?

This role involves research assistance to Professor Jan Selby in production of a 'Global Climate Review' as part of the FCDO-funded Basic Assistance in Crises (BASIC) research programme.

As a Research Fellow you will undertake a review and thematic analysis of the scholarly and grey literatures on climate vulnerability and social assistance.

You will undertake documentary analysis of documents produced by key social assistance stakeholder organisations. You will undertake key informant interviews with people from these stakeholder organisations.

Working with Professor Jan Selby, you will draft and finalise the Global Climate Review as a BASIC Working Paper, and revise this output for peer-reviewed journal publication.

You will also organise an online roundtable with key stakeholders, and engage with other members of the BASIC research programme.
