Applications Engineer / Technical/Electrical Estimator


Location:
Office based at Shenton House, Andover though we will consider flexible working


Salary:
£45,000 to £50,000 dependant on experience

Shenton Group is on the lookout for a motivated and talented Applications Engineer to join our team


What's the role?


As an Estimator your role will focus on the estimation and design of Generator and UPS projects from the value of £100k upwards.

Your role will have client-facing elements to allow you to develop well-rounded understanding of client needs and project objectives.

You will produce quotations that are spec compliant while ensuring we offer VE opportunities as well as pointing our risks and opportunities to both internal and external stakeholders.

You will need a focus on quality with strong attention to detail and an organised approach to front end cost studies, designs and feasibility studies.

This role requires collaboration across departments and strong communication skills to achieve project objectives.


What do you need?


You need to have a keen attitude and take a positive proactive approach to engaging with our Key Account Managers, their clients and your cross-departmental colleagues.

You need to be able to collaborate and take responsibility for tasks including seeking opportunities to improve. Confidence in you abilities and to deal with a variety of projects and clients is essential. You should also be able to comfortably manage a constantly fluctuating workload with grace and good attention to detail.
