You'll have experience of working closely with colleagues to inform and influence our work to protect the environment.

Your work will ensure that we improve our response to incidents so we can help communities recovery from incidents and become more resilient and better able to help themselves.

You will use your experience to provide expert advice and guidance to internal and external colleagues to assist in reducing risk to life.

Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do.

You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident.

This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.

In addition you will have a good understanding of the key drivers and issues relating to our Flood Risk Management work, and experience of working with internal and external partners to deliver specific outcomes to time, cost and quality.

A degree in a relevant discipline is desirable. It is also desirable that you are a member of, or are working towards membership of, a professional body.
