*Term Time Only, plus 10 days**37 Hours per week**Band H £26,845 to £29,439 per annum pro rata**Actual salary: £23,579 to £25,857 per annum**From April 2023 or a.s.a.p.


We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Learning Support Manager, to complement our current behaviour, pastoral and SEN provision.

The fundamental responsibility of the role is to support pupils to access the curriculum and offer the right support, to motivate and implement strategies to assist our pupils to achieve their full potential.

The post holder will be responsible for keeping records, work and liaise with teachers to ensure identified students have an education in an appropriate setting and that they are supported to achieve their full potential.


You will work collaboratively with pastoral staff, teachers, SENDCO and outside agencies to identify learning needs and appropriate support for pupils.

You will be give appropriate safeguarding training in the role.

You will have the ability to develop and maintain effective, supportive relationships with pupils with key areas of responsibility for:

  • Supervision of students and overseeing their work in a learning support base
  • Developing bespoke educational provision in the shortterm for a small number of students, in partnership with senior, pastoral or SEND staff, to facilitate integration/reintegration into mainstream lessons
  • Overseeing the induction of new students from the Warwickshire Ethical Inclusion Partnership, liaising with their former education providers to ensure that there is an appropriate transition and smooth integration to the school.
- liaison with teachers and other providers to ensure that suitable work and resources are provided to identified students with suitable tuition/lessons where appropriate.
- establishing appropriate contact with families/carers for support
- acting within delegated authority to develop new strategies and determine appropriate courses of action in overcoming barriers to learning
- facilitating specialist services for pupil support where needed
- establishing effective working partnerships with agencies/services or alternative provision to ensure that pupil needs are met
- assisting with early identification of disengaged pupils and facilitating early interventions for re-engagement
- small group mentoring to support learning needs


It is envisaged that the post-holder will work in a designated classroom with a small, select group of pupils, some of whom may present challenging behaviours.
