Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Senior Planned Works Surveyor for a housing association based in Greater Manchester.

The role is on a permanent basis, paying £48,457, and offers agile working, with office presence required 2-3 days perweek.

The role:

To lead a team of professionals and direct the implementation of projects, working within a multidisciplined property services directorate
Provide a full range of costeffective professional building diagnostic, design and procurement services relating to the decarbonisation, improvement, repair, maintenance and servicing of the housing stock
Monitor and report on project performance objectives, necessary information on progress, financial commitment and the early identification of potential movements in financial outturns and carry out appropriate actions to mitigate
Monitor and review technical services provided during project delivery and identify areas of continuous improvement
Ensure contract compliance and impose contractual sanctions on contractors who fail to perform
To deliver the ongoing stock investment and programmed activity through the project management of individual schemes from inception to completion
Interpret stock condition information and collate forward looking costed plans for investment decision making

The person:

Successful track record of technical expertise in building maintenance project delivery
Knowledge of all aspects of building services, construction and maintenance industries including contractual matters and legislation
Highly developed design and project delivery skills
HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a construction related field
Experience of working as a Building Surveyor or Project Manager within social housing
