We currently have an exciting opportunity for a full-time lecturer to join our enthusiastic health, education and life sciences foundation year team.


As a member of the foundation year team, you will support the design, development and production of learning and teaching materials and deliver teaching across a range of modules provided and supported by the team.


The foundation year is a Faculty wide course and has three pathways; Health Sciences; Society, Childhood & Education; and Sport & Physical Activity.


Some of your main responsibilities will be:

  • Teach as a member of a teaching team.
  • Teach in a variety of settings from small group tutorials to large lectures
  • Supervise the work of students, provide advice on study skills
  • Be involved in the assessment of students.
  • Act as a personal tutor, giving support and mentoring to students


You should be educated to degree level, and have skills and experience of learning and teaching, either in the Higher Education or Further Education sector.


Successful applicants will be fully funded and supported through our teacher training apprenticeship, including full support for study attendance, and the allocation of a dedicated mentor to support them through the learning requirements.
