Working hours:
Monday to Thursday 06:00am to 16:00pm x2 weeks / Monday to Thursday 12:00pm to 22:00pm x1 week rotating


As an Extrusion Blow Moulding Setter, your role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the plastic manufacturing process specifically in the area of extrusion blow moulding.

Your responsibilities encompass setting up and operating extrusion blow moulding machines, as well as performing tool change tasks to accommodate different product designs.

Your expertise will contribute to efficient production, adherence to quality standards, and the overall success of our manufacturing operations.


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and configure extrusion blow moulding machines for production runs, including adjusting temperature, pressure, and other relevant parameters according to specific product requirements.
  • Efficiently perform tool changes by dismantling and replacing moulds, dies, and other components necessary for different product designs.
  • Perform Extrusion head, Die and pin changes.
  • Prepare materials for production runs
  • Perform colour and material changes
  • Monitor machine operations during production to maintain consistent output quality and promptly address any operational deviations or issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any operational problems, equipment malfunctions, or quality defects encountered during production or tool change processes.
  • Conduct regular maintenance tasks on machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs, to sustain optimal performance.
  • Thoroughly inspect finished products to verify compliance with established quality standards and specifications.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of production runs, tool change processes, equipment settings, and any incidents for reference and analysis.
  • Train machine operators in the safe use of equipment and documentation relating to the injection moulding process
  • Perform routine daily safety checks of production related equipment.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents, uphold a secure working environment, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Record packaging and material data, including product counts, batch numbers, and any material information required.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as an extrusion blow moulding setter or similar role within the plastics manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in setting up and operating extrusion blow moulding machines, including a comprehensive understanding of various machine components and their functions.
  • Familiarity with diverse plastic materials and their unique properties.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills to diagnose equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistent product quality.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic, fastpaced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with colleagues, supervisors, and quality assurance personnel.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety protocols and practices related to both machine operation and maintenance.
  • Computer literate
  • Minimum level 2 Blow Moulding Technologies
  • Minimum 5 years' experience
