About You:


You will be a Law graduate with a minimum of three years' experience of working within a commercial contract management role and looking for your next challenge.

You may be a qualified or part qualified solicitor.

You will be able to demonstrate your ability to work with senior leaders and use your influencing skills to achieve the best outcomes for the business.

You will be able to demonstrate your ability to and be comfortable working with contract templates and will have experience of negotiating and adapting contract templates to respond to commercial challenge, when you will adapt a risk based approach

You will be a diligent and driven individual with a high level of attention to detail. Someone who is confident, thorough and conscientious will do well in this role.

The ability and confidence to highlight and escalate where relevant any client challenges or legal risks to the senior leadership team is a must.

You will be able to easily build effective working relationships at all levels.


Responsibilities & Criteria:

This role will support our group of businesses across the UK. This is a newly created role that will sit within our Corporate Services function.

As with all of our group supporting roles, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.

It is an exciting time to join our group of businesses as we are developing in a number of strategic areas.

This role will play a key part in delivering against our growth strategy to ensure we provide a high-quality services and deliver excellent value for money.


Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the business development team on new client leads and tenders and be an integral part of the process of the transformation from opportunity to agreeing the contractual terms.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally and strategically to continually develop and innovative contracting solutions that will ensure the future commercial effectiveness of the client contracts.
  • Ensuring that executed client contracts are centrally collated and maintain and develop internal systems to store contracts and to develop systems which allow for the extraction of key metrics and information as required by the relevant businesses and or the 3173 Group.
  • Ensuring that templates are periodically updated to reflect legislative changes and maintain the template contracts on the Legal Services Portal.
  • Negotiate and agree contractual terms with clients, referring to Senior Managers and external lawyers as required.
  • Working with governance, risk, and compliance in maintaining the various accreditations (e.g. ISO and preparing and passing the various internal and external audits.

Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 22.5 hours (or 3 days per week) with additional hours as and when required. Due to the delivery aspect of this role, the 3 working days cannot be consecutive.
