Grounds Maintenance Operative

Heart of England

45 hours per week

We are recruiting for an experienced, enthusiastic organised and reliable grounds operative to help with the grounds maintenance teams working closely with the grounds team leaders.

As a grounds operative you will need to be comfortable with using basic grounds machinery such as, strimmers, hedge cutters, pedestrian mowers, hand tools and so on.

Experience and knowledge would be beneficial in this role due to it being a fast-paced environment. Some horticultural knowledge and understanding would be an advantage.

The role of Grounds Maintenance Team Leader will include:

Working in a residential and commercial environment.
Ensuring department standards are met.
Grass cutting and hedge cutting.
Plant care and shrub pruning
Using a range of garden machinery
Weed prevention and maintenance.
Ensuring you follow H&S guidelines.

Skills and experiences:

PA1 & PA6 license preferred but not essential as can be obtained.
Relevant City & Guilds tickets (desirable)
Grounds maintenance (desirable)
Full UK Driving license (desirable)
