    Empower Young People Towards Independence – Support Worker for 16+ Supported Accommodation,

    • Full time Role including sleep ins paid additionally at £75 per sleep
    • 2 on 4 off Shift pattern for a good work life balance

Do you want to make a real difference for care-experienced young people as they build independent, meaningful lives? We're looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our supported accommodation team and guide young people through this exciting – and sometimes challenging – stage of life.

    About Us

    At Fairview Care & Support, we specialise in providing high-quality supported accommodation for young people aged 16+. Our services are designed for those leaving care, unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC), and other vulnerable young people who need a safe, structured environment where they can gain the skills and confidence to live independently.

    Our approach is based on empowerment, respect, and growth. We don't just provide housing – we provide opportunities, encouragement, and practical life skills support. Whether it's budgeting, cooking, attending education or work, or simply learning to navigate adulthood, we're here to guide young people every step of the way.

    What You'll Do

    • Provide practical, emotional, and social support to young people living in supported accommodation.
    • Help young people develop life skills, such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and managing appointments.
    • Support education, training, and employment goals, encouraging engagement and motivation.
    • Build positive, trusting relationships with young people, acting as a mentor and role model.
    • Promote independence, responsibility, and personal growth in a safe, structured way.
    • Support young people with developing confidence and resilience in preparation for full independence.
    • Keep accurate records, contribute to support plans, and maintain excellent communication with colleagues and professionals.
    • Safeguard and protect young people in line with company policies and statutory requirements.

    Development & Training

    • Comprehensive induction and ongoing training to develop your skills.
    • Monthly supervision and regular reflective practice sessions.
    • Opportunities for career progression and qualifications in care and support work.

    What We're Looking For

    • A genuine passion for empowering young people to achieve independence.
    • Understanding of the challenges faced by care leavers and vulnerable young people.
    • Ability to engage, motivate, and encourage young people positively.
    • Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
    • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
    • Must be 21+ due to regulations around working with young people in supported accommodation.
    • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and maintaining professional boundaries.
    • A level 2 and above in working with children and young people or something similar is preferred but not Essential . If not Don't worry, life experiences can be its own level of qualification.

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

    Pay: £12.30-£12.80 per hour
