The length of the shift is 12 hours, starting at 20:00 and finishing at 08:00am.

Responsibilities/Duties for the healthcare assistant:

_

Attend to Resident's individual and personal care needs in accordance with individual care plans to ensure safety and care of Residents and to promote independence
To act as a key worker for designated residents
Responding promptly to call bells and emergency calls
To report any accidents or unexplained injuries immediately to person in charge
To ensure that any aids e.g. Dentures, Hearing Aids, Spectacles, etc are fitted, cleaned and in working order
Complete all charts / documentation, and maintain records, as required
To be aware of all fire exit means of escape from the Home
To adhere to the policy relating to personal appearance and the uniform policy whilst on duty
To report to the Person in Charge any changes in individual residents condition and any other relevant matter
To report to the Person in Charge any verbal concerns or complaints raised by the resident or visitors
To respect the rights of residents including privacy, dignity and confidentiality
To assist in the serving and clearing of meals, snacks, and drinks
To undertake any training necessary for the completion of your duties. To be aware of Mandatory training and dates to attend training
