The length of the shift is 12 hours, starting at 20:00 and finishing at 08:00am.

Responsibilities/Duties for the healthcare assistant:

_

  • Attend to Resident's individual and personal care needs in accordance with individual care plans to ensure safety and care of Residents and to promote independence
  • To act as a key worker for designated residents
  • Responding promptly to call bells and emergency calls
  • To report any accidents or unexplained injuries immediately to person in charge
  • To ensure that any aids e.g. Dentures, Hearing Aids, Spectacles, etc are fitted, cleaned and in working order
  • Complete all charts / documentation, and maintain records, as required
  • To be aware of all fire exit means of escape from the Home
  • To adhere to the policy relating to personal appearance and the uniform policy whilst on duty
  • To report to the Person in Charge any changes in individual residents condition and any other relevant matter
  • To report to the Person in Charge any verbal concerns or complaints raised by the resident or visitors
  • To respect the rights of residents including privacy, dignity and confidentiality
  • To assist in the serving and clearing of meals, snacks, and drinks
  • To undertake any training necessary for the completion of your duties. To be aware of Mandatory training and dates to attend training

Qualifications and Skills:


Healthcare or Support Work experience would be beneficial, however full training and support will be offered so it is not essential.
