Security Engineer (ArcSight SME)

Day Rate:
Excellent Day Rate - Inside IR35

IR35 Status:
Inside IR35

Contract Length:
Initial 6-months (likely to be extended multiple times).

Hybrid Location:2 days per week in Central London, 3 days remote.

About the Client and the Role:

My client, a highly prestigious, globally renowned name in financial services is seeking an experienced
Security Engineer with
Subject Matter Expert knowledge of ArcSightto join their in-house Security Team on an initial 6-month (but fully expected to extend multiple times) basis.

The team is responsible for ensuring consistently high level security functionalitythroughout the client's IT infrastructure, working alongside an external SoC department.

Main Responsibilities:

Implementing security tools and processes
Automate build, configuration and updates for security tools
Maintain software version and patch management for security products
Support, maintenance & monitoring of security tools health
Encryption Key and Certificates management for security products.
Integration of security capabilities
Scripting with Python, PowerShell etc.
SME level knowledge and handson experience with
ArcSight:
Strong professional background in Security Engineering (supporting security in major environments)
Demonstrable scripting experience (Python or PowerShell)
Knowledge of Security Tools (e.g. CyberArk, Carbon Black, McAfee, SIEM tools etc.)
Understanding of automation and CI/CD pipelines (highly desirable)
Strong knowledge and understanding of security standards, frameworks, best practices
Strong skills scripting with Python, PowerShell etc.
Relevant Security Certification / qualification (e.g. CISSP, ArcSight ESM)
