Description
Senior DBAResponsibilities:
- Manage robust database infrastructure primarily using Oracle, AWS RDS, Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB, and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Lead a team of 2 DBAs, providing guidance, mentorship, and ensuring their technical development.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies for all database systems.
- Perform regular health checks, identify potential issues, and implement preventative measures across all databases.
- Implement, maintain, and monitor backup / data replication processes between various database technologies.
- Automate database administration tasks using scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Oversee deployments, ensuring smooth rollouts and mínimal downtime.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across all platforms, regardless of the underlying database technology.
- Work closely with infrastructure and data teams to understand their requirements and design efficient database structures across all technologies.
- Manage data provisioning for backoffice systems, data warehouses (DWH), and reporting tools, ensuring data accessibility across different database technologies.
- Advise on the purchase and renewal of database licenses to optimize costs and ensure compliance across all technologies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle DB 10,12,19c), preferably in a highvolume, transactional environment with experience in managing various database technologies (relational and NoSQL).
- Indepth knowledge of administration tools and functionalities for Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB, and NoSQL databases
- Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices across all database technologies.
- Experience with database performance optimization techniques for various database architectures.
- Familiarity with data warehousing (DWH) concepts and data replication methods across different database platforms.
- Experience with database scripting languages is a plus.
- Experience with message queue systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced and demanding environment.
- Experience in the iGaming industry is a plus.
