At Glensanda Super Quarry, we're on the lookout for an experienced Heavy Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team on a 7 on 7 off rotation. This isn't just another maintenance job – it's a chance to work on massive Caterpillar and other HME machinery in a one-of-a-kind coastal quarry that helps keep the nation building.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, and repairs to heavy mobile plant equipment.
    • Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults in mechanical and electrical systems.
    • Welding, cutting, and fabricating to keep equipment in safe working order.
    • Supporting breakdown response to keep downtime to a minimum.
    • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring all work meets H&S and compliance standards.
    • Setting the standard for housekeeping, keeping workshops clean, safe, and organised.
    • Working closely with other departments to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient site operations.

    What You'll Bring

    • Experience in heavy plant maintenance, with welding, cutting, and fabricating skills.
    • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent practical experience.
    • Knowledge of plant electrical systems and repairs.
    • Strong communication and team working skills, with a can-do attitude.
    • Organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise under pressure.
    • IT literacy and comfort working with modern workshop systems.
    • Experience with any of the following: Caterpillar, Hitachi, Volvo or Komatsu knowledge would be a big plus.
