Description
To assess, treat and manage own caseload of children with speech, language and communication delay and disorder.

To provide advice to other professionals and parents in order to support the needs of children with speech, language and communication delay and disorder in clinical area.

To liaise with other agencies and services e.g. schools, social care, and voluntary agencies.
To plan and demonstrate therapy activities to parents/carers and/or assistants and multidisciplinary staff.

To record notes and prepare reports and therapy plans using electronic notes systems (Systm 1) To take an active part in the team, participating in meetings and forums.

To access and make use of clinical and management supervision.

To gather data as required, participate in audits and comply with Information Governance You will also attend Team Meetings, clinical forums and relevant in
- house training. You will contribute to team and service development initiatives, audits and data collection as required. Across the year you will write short reports, devise intervention plans, signpost setting staff to further information, provide child specific training and therapy demonstrations, and contribute to Education and Health Care Needs Assessments and Annual reviews. These posts are for a two-year fixed term although extension is possible and as a large team, progression opportunities are usually available.
