Description

Service delivery To be responsible for the assessment, formulation and management of a clinical caseload ensuring practice is in line the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists Quality Guidelines and Position Papers.

To inform and advise line manager as to the training, and development needs of individuals and the establishments with whom they work.

Clinical Practice To independently provide a Speech and Language Therapy assessment, formulation, intervention and advice service for people with voice exploration/voice change and communication needs.

To work as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team across a variety of agencies and locations in order to maximise communication opportunities.

Policies and Procedures To work within department guidelines and procedures in line with Regional and National initiatives that influence service provision,To participate in multi
- disciplinary projects and specialist areas of Speech and Language Therapy work as agreed with the directorateTo contribute to department procedures and protocols.
To maintain clinical and administrative records in accordance to team and trust standards and provide clinical data as required. Health and Safety To work within agreed Trust Health and safety Policies and Procedures.

Clinical Governance To meet RCSLT competencies for newly qualified Speech and Language Therapists.
To demonstrate own continuing Professional development and continued HCPC registration.

To contribute to regional RCSLT Clinical Excellence Networks and Hubs as appropriate as a registered member of RCSLT.To develop experience of working within one SLT service/specialism.

Research and Development To participate in research and/or audit in accordance with the needs of the trust and the profession
