Project Support Officer

Remote working, £150 per day, OUTSIDE IR3- 3 months, with likely extensions

START ASAP
Our client, a midlands based Local Authority is seeking to recruit a Project Support Officer on an interim basis. This is a project administrative position, which will see you supporting the Home to School Transport team. You will be working with workstream leads in the department and updating project tasks. There are 7-9 workstreams which will be allocated based on what best fits your experience.

Requirements:


  • Demonstrable experience in Project Coordination and updating Project plans
  • Experience in a public sector organisation or on similar projects within Children Services is desirable but not essential
  • Experience of supporting project(s) or programmes of work, and or process improvement
  • Stakeholder liaison
  • Excellent administrative, organisational, and prioritisation skills
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills, able to contribute to reports and present ideas or raise constructive and considered challenge or innovative ideas in workshops / meetings
  • Good IT literacy, experienced in using a range of MS Office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to intermediate level (use of pivot/formulae/ability to check and crosscheck data), use of SharePoint, and / or inhouse corporate databases or systems (e.g., those relating to holding and or tracking information and data relating to customers, service users, or suppliers)
  • Understanding of project and programme concepts, e.g., Prince 2 or P3O foundation level qualifications
