We are currently seeking to employ a dynamic and highly motivated Marketing and Content Executive to join our committed Marketing team.


The department seeks to market the College and its curriculum offer in an honest, friendly and professional way and assist other departments in achieving their marketing goals.

It endeavours to treat everyone who uses its services fairly and equally.


The Marketing and Content Executive will be responsible for planning and implementing a full range of marketing and engagement activities, maintaining a high-quality service delivery and contributing to new initiatives.

The post holder will be responsible for developing and implementing specific online and offline marketing campaigns and events, targeting potential students, parents and other stakeholders.

They will work with the Head of Marketing and wider colleagues at Richmond and HRUC to ensure this complements the overall College group strategy.


Richmond upon Thames College is part of the Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge College Group and is one of London's most successful Further Education Colleges providing education and training to 16-19 year old's and adults from across Richmond, London and Surrey, for over 80 years.

We have opened a new building in 2020 and due to develop a brand-new technology-focused STEM Centre for 2024.


This exciting and innovative new learning environment is located within the grounds of the current college site, so remains convenient for public transport links - it is adjacent to the A316 and just a short walk from Twickenham rail station and a number of regular London bus routes.


JOB PURPOSE:


The Marketing and Content Executive will be responsible for planning and implementing a full range of marketing and engagement activities, maintaining a high-quality service delivery and contributing to new initiatives.

The post holder will be responsible for developing and implementing specific online and offline marketing campaigns and events, targeting potential students, parents and other stakeholders.

They will work with the Head of Marketing and wider colleagues at Richmond and HRUC to ensure this complements the overall College group strategy.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:


  • To work with the Head of Marketing and College colleagues to manage the design and all aspects of production of an annual calendar of promotional/networking/celebration in person and virtual events eg Open Events, employer engagement events, student awards events, in order to raise the profile of the college and encourage links with schools and other key stakeholders eg parents, employers.
  • To proactively develop and coordinate effective working relations with managers and staff across the College and to work with them on publicity/marketing issues, events and campaigns and to advise and assist them with their PR needs and requirements and ensure that events/activities are promoted to stakeholders in a timely way through various promotion channels eg press releases, social media, website, digital etc.
  • To coordinate and be responsible for gathering and analysing feedback from events and giving relevant and constructive feedback to internal stakeholders to implement change and improve future events and to develop strategies to increase footfall each year at events and improve the customer experience and increase positive feedback.
  • Undertake research to establish customer needs within target audiences and develop appropriate marketing activities.
  • To coordinate and manage media activity including press, social media, digital.
  • To work with key colleagues on planning, coordinating and promoting cross College events and activities and developing imaginative and practical content and communication strategies.
  • To research, develop and promote news stories and media releases in support of our activities and corporate strategy. Handle daytoday media enquiries and write engaging press releases and digital content including videos for social media and digital channels. To work on longterm campaigns to enhance and promote the College to its key markets and target area through all marketing channels eg print and digital.
  • To develop, coordinate and manage an annual student ambassador programme (that contributes to the student's overall study programme hours) including recruitment and training of students to help promote the College at various events eg Open Events.
  • To research, coordinate and produce case study stories for current and past students and take videos and photos/arrange photo shoots. Develop case studies materials for publicity and promotional purposes eg printed publications, press releases, website and social media.
