The Agriculture and Estates Department is one of the largest specialist legal units in the UK and is ranked by the Legal 500 as Top Tier for the area.


As a result of substantial growth, the firm are seeking a junior Agriculture & Estates Solicitor to join their market-leading department.

The Opportunity


This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious Solicitor to work for a specialist team and be guided by their leading, Chambers UK recognised Partner who is an expert in their field.

The team advise on a wide variety of rural matters as well as Private Client and Tax related matters.

These include but are not limited to:

  • The sale and acquisition of agricultural property and land (including options, overages and preemption agreements)
  • Agricultural tenancies
  • Banking and refinancing agricultural properties
  • Residential conveyancing and tenancy advice for farming and estate clients
  • Business structures and joint venture/collaborative agreements
  • Wills, trust planning and probate matters
  • Tax advice in relation to IHT, SDLT, ER, CGT and VAT
  • Renewable energy schemes
  • Basic payment scheme, agrienvironment and ELMS scheme issues
The Role


The role would suit a driven and forward thinking junior solicitor (NQ - 3 years' PQE) who has a passion for rural matters and a genuine interest in Agricultural law.
