Part time
Description

We are seeking a part-time post-doctoral researcher (60% FTE) to join our exciting programme of research to develop novel measures and treatments for mental health problems in children and young people.

This maternity cover post will be part of the new National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre's Mental Health in Development theme.

The BRC development theme is focused on delivering targeted, accessible and effective mental health interventions that meet the needs of diverse children, young people and families.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an important programme work conducted by a large team of collaborators.

We will be creating sustainable infrastructure to deliver an ambitious programme of translational research that spans understanding key mechanisms across child and adolescent development and how these can be modified and applied to advance prevention and treatment.

This post would suit someone with an interest in mental health, developmental psychology, measure development, and who wishes to develop a clinical academic career.

Clinicians will have the opportunity to work clinically within the local NHS Trust.

This post is to cover the absence of the substantive postholder, who is taking a period of maternity leave.

The post is available until 31 March 2025 or the actual return of the substantive postholder, or the resignation of the substantive postholder and employment of a new postholder, whichever is the earliest.

The post is based in the Department of Psychiatry, at the Warneford Hospital and the Department of Experimental Psychology, in the Radcliffe Observatory quarter.

The closing date will be 12.00 midday on 8th March 2024
