About Our Client:

A great opportunity for a
Senior Buyer to join a rapidly growing, importer distributor of Arts & Crafts & Stationery.

Due to business and trading growth the directors are seeking someone to join the business as a Senior Buyer.

Creating products that are commercial that can be sold to retailers such as the discounters and toy stores in the UK, Europe and Australia.

Develop from start to finish an area of product for the business
Develop the supply base, identifying new area to source from
Research, create, develop new product areas for the business, that are commercial and with the companies margin targets.
Deliver new product categories / create new brands
Critical path management of your product areas
Attend relevant trade fairs
Carry out comp shops
Manage Buying Admin Assistants, Assistant Buyers etc
Seen as part of the leadership team in the office and when out at visits

The Successful Applicant:

Buying product development work experience within a commercial head office
Have a leadership mindset
Line Management experience
Ideally have worked with far East factories
Strong administration experience and skill set
Excellent Interpersonal skills
Progressive, wanting to progress / develop themselves as well as other members of the buying team
