Production Planner
Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire
£30-35k

The Production Planner will plan and prepare production schedules and accurate 'work to' lists for manufacture of products.


The Production Planner would be responsible for:

  • Maintain Item Master in Javelin (lead times, batch quantities)
  • Ensure BOM and Routings are up to date
  • Create, maintain and schedule Master Production Schedule
  • Analyse constraints to the plan and feedback requirements to Operations Management
  • Assign Work to List for each Work Centre and identify early and late progress to plan by task
  • Proactively seek to manage the scheduling horizon as far in the future
  • Sensitivity analysis to give options to Operations Management for changes to the Plan
  • Optimise the Master Critical Path for Works Orders to drive maximum load
  • Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
  • Preparing production reports and threemonth sales forecast and detailed updates ensuring monthly target is achieved.

The Production Planner will have:


  • High level of communication and organisational skills
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Knowledge of raw material specification and their complexities
  • Understanding of machine capacities and parts routings
  • Clear understanding of routings and timelines
  • Experience of monitoring Attainment to Plan figures Daily / Weekly and escalating any deviations from plan.


This role would suit an individual with a proven track record of planning and controlling, who has worked in an engineering environment and is familiar with the Javelin system to be able to interrogate the data.

Salary:
£23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
