Greenways Forest School is looking for a passionate and energetic Forest School Assistant to join our team in Wick Woodland, Hackney.

Schedule: Every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM, with additional hours available during school holiday camps from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and delivering engaging, educational outdoor activities and games.
• Help ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children, adhering to our safety policies and procedures.
• Support the development of children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth through outdoor learning experiences.
• Assist with setting up and clearing away materials and equipment used in forest school sessions.
• Engage with children, encouraging curiosity, exploration, and learning about the natural environment.
• Work closely with the Forest School Leader to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating outdoor learning environment.

Requirements:

• A genuine passion for outdoor education and a strong belief in the benefits of learning outside the classroom.
• Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational or outdoor setting.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to engage children of all abilities.
• An understanding of health and safety in an outdoor setting.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willing to undergo this process).
