Due to our phenomenal growth we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Merchandiser to join our team based in York.

You will be analytically minded and commercially aware, with amazing IT and organisational skills to help deliver outstanding value and excellent performance across our product ranges.

Reporting to our Supply Chain Manager you will play a crucial role in providing commercial input into existing products and discovering new and exciting products to bring to market.


Daily Tasks:


  • Managing Supply Chain team & Functions
  • Forecasting and ordering of core & returning seasonal products for J.I.T delivery
  • Attaining best freight rates possible
  • Managing the Critical Path to ensure all orders are shipped on time
  • Working closely with Marketing dept to maximise revenue through price changes and listing improvements
  • Negotiating price reductions on repeat orders
  • Driving department forward with continual improvements
  • Creating & managing WSSI
  • Analysing and reporting on the success of new products introduced to the business.
  • Managing stock balancing transfers to ensure the right stock is in the right warehouse at the right time

Key Skills required:


  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Able to manage time, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Previous experience demand planning in a long lead time environment
  • Forwardthinking, innovative and proactive.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Market research experience would be beneficial.
  • Ecommerce knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Travel to our other distribution centre(s)
  • International travel may also be required.

Working hours:
Full time, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm (37.5hrs per week with 1 hour for lunch).


You will be based at our modern offices near Sheriff Hutton (YO60) therefore it is essential that you have your own transport.

Salary:
£25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

  • York: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
