ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY


As SBC continues to grow in scale and complexity, we are creating a new role for a highly motivated and creative Website Specialist, responsible for all aspects of overseeing our event related and corporate websites, ensuring they are up to date, engaging and advances SBCs mission as being known throughout the betting & gaming industries as delivering the most high level and quality led events.


The Website Specialist will develop and implement SBC's web based marketing strategy to promote our brand and optimisation for search engines; engaging visitors and landing conversions.

Until now, this activity has been shared across a number of members of the marketing team, dedicated focus is now required to better manage the ever expanding portfolio and increased size of our events and the requirement for additional subpages and web content.


This role reports to the Head of Digital Marketing, working in strong collaboration with the 10 person marketing team and relevant internal departments.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Plan and implement web based marketing strategies and campaigns via the company's websites
  • Analytics & reporting, responsible for web analytics including Page Views, Unique Users/Visitors, Pages Viewed Per Session, Time Spent per Session, Subpage performance, User Journey and other key KPIs for website performance
  • Collaborate with web development and design teams; provide guidance on marketingrelated aspects of the company's web presence
  • Review and optimise user experience; evaluation of pages, callstoaction (CTA), ensuring pages are effectively organised and content is engaging and useful.
  • Review technical aspects that affect UX, including loading times and intuitive navigation
  • Manage and execute ongoing website development projects from a marketing perspective in partnership with internal teams
  • Lead the creation of site content to continually improve the website's user experience
  • Sparring closely on technical development and aspects with Web Development Team and on design/graphics with the Head of Digital Design & Research
  • Manage websites content, which includes removing any outdated texts, adding new pages using visual editors like Gutenberg or WP Bakery, and utilizing both inhouse and thirdparty WordPress plugins
  • Stay up to date with the latest web design and development trends and techniques; identifying new ways to improve website UX based on user feedback and performance metrics (i.e Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO))
  • Identify technical issues on the website and collaborate closely with the development team to effectively resolve and address them
  • Monitor, assess, and report on website performan
