The post is offered part-time only for 6 months, working 2 days per week (40% FTE).


The post holder will be expected to have proven and substantial experience in conducting research; for example, by having previously assisted in the running of a funded research study and/or a postgraduate (Masters or PhD) study.


The post-holder will receive line management support from a Research Fellow at the Complex Trauma and Resilience Research Unit in Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH).

This includes regular line management supervision, clear objective setting for 3, 6 and 12 months and annual appraisals thereafter (depending on continued funding for the post).

To conduct systematic literature reviews and use an appropriate quality appraisal tool

To assist in the preparation of publications, conference and other Powerpoint presentations and dissemination materials

To assist in the organisation of a large stakeholder dissemination event

To adhere to the service specification and quality standards of NHS trust policies, particularly relating to confidentiality and risk, and to also oversee programme policies in relation to confidentiality and risk

To ensure that ethics procedures and HRA/ R and I governance procedures are followed
