In a world grappling with unprecedented challenges, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is a beacon of hope, support and protection for millions of refugees, displaced individuals, asylum seekers and stateless people worldwide.

UK for UNHCR is the UN Refugee Agency's national charity partner for the United Kingdom, established in 2019.

We stand with refugees by raising funds and awareness here in the UK, so that UNHCR can deliver humanitarian relief to displaced people across the globe and ensure they receive protection and welcome no matter where they are.

There has never been greater need for UNHCR's work, with more than 114 million people forcibly displaced from their homes around the world due to conflict and persecution - a figure that has doubled in the past decade.

We have experienced rapid growth in our initial years as a charity, and we are now looking forward to a critical next phase where we can aim even higher and do more to support refugees and UNHCR's global mission.

As part of this evolution, we are expanding the range of perspectives and experience on our Board of Trustees.

We are seeking to appoint a Vice-Chair and three new Trustees to our Board, starting in 2024 and continuing into 2025.

To be a UK for UNHCR Trustee, you will need the drive, integrity and expertise to help us deliver an ambitious strategy to build greater solidarity for UNHCR's mission and grow our UK partnerships and fundraising programmes.

These positions are unremunerated; however, reasonable expenses will be covered.
