Description

We are looking for a fully qualified, motivated, enthusiastic, HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter to join our thriving workshop team who is experienced in all types of commercial vehicle and trailer maintenance and repair work.

Car mechanics willing to retrain would also be considered.

You will work in an efficient manner, playing a key role in workshops working to the highest standards.

An LGV License would be an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities and duties will be as follows:

Routine Inspections, servicing, maintenance, and repair of vehicles including MOT preparation to VOSA standards.
Fault diagnosis including the use of diagnostic equipment.
General mechanical and electrical repairs.
Reading & understanding Job instruction.
Excellent time keeping and reliability.
Ability to learn new skills.
Attention to detail.
Good knowledge of safe working practices within workshop environment
Adhere to good housekeeping and all Health and Safety Regulations.
Working well within our Workshop team.
Strong communications skills.
The ability to work well under pressure.
Meeting agreed deadlines while keeping management informed of progress.
Advise repairs required supply of parts and equipment and liaise with commercial office in relation what is required.
Use work equipment as necessary and report any defects to the workshop supervisor for rectification.
Ensure all documentation is completed to a high standard.
