SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Carry out regular inspections of all areas within the property and restore surface finishes where required.
  • Assist in preventative and reactive maintenance, as detailed.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out professionally, and the area left safe, clean and tidy.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in line with Marriott procedures and standards.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out to Health & Safety specifications, both legislative and Marriott.
  • Attend to, or report any defects, or Health & Safety matters brought to your attention.
  • Maintain a written record of all maintenance work, ensuring that all details are clear and accurate.
  • Work to a shift rota system, to provide coverage as required by the hotel.
  • To be aware of the facilities, and have sound facilities knowledge of the hotel
  • To actively take part in all training sessions.
  • To actively take part in all energy management and conservation issues.
  • To ensure that spares and combustibles are kept secure, and met all Health & Safety requirements, and to keep all stock levels to correct amounts.
  • To maintain all tools and test equipment in good working order.
  • To keep workshop and plant rooms clean and tidy at all times.
  • Carry out the dayto day maintenance requirements of the hotel to the highest possible standard.
  • Ensure plant rooms, storage areas and workshops are clean at all times.
  • All work carried out is in compliance with legislative Health & Safety laws.
  • Maintenance standards are to be met at all times.
  • Uniform is to be worn, and polite and helpful manner portrayed towards guests and associates at all times.

CRITICAL TASKS

Safety and Security

  • Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
  • Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
  • Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines.
  • Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
  • Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.
  • Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.
  • Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).

Policies and Procedures

  • Follow company and department policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all food and hygiene policies
  • Protect company tools, equipment, machines, or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

  • Assist other employees to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service.

  • Performs other related tasks as assigned by management or supervisor
  • Complies with Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures.
