Key Responsibilities:_

  • First off/setter inspection at suppliers.
  • Perform final inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and release
- components for customer delivery.

  • Management of defective product and QC requirements and returns to the supplier.
  • Conduct onsite and subcontractor facility inspections of finished machined components for the aerospace and defence sectors.
  • Utilise/maintain calibrated measuring equipment to verify product specifications and
- dimensions.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in IT skills for recording and documenting inspection results.
  • Interpret and understand engineering drawings to validate component conformity.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports for documentation and compliance purposes.

Essential skills:_

  • Driving licence
  • Hands on practical inspection experience (5 years minimum)
  • Proficient in the use of standard measuring equipment, including but not limited to; Vernier's, plug gauges, micrometres, surface comparator.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining highquality standards.
  • Experience working to AS9100 and ISO9001 quality standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to travel as required, with subsidised travel expenses.
  • Qualification to NVQ Level 3 or possession of an HNC with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Monday to Thursday: 7am - 4pm

Friday: 7am - 3pm

Salary £30,000 - £35,000
