    Quantity Surveyor Role

    We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support our Regional Commercial Manager in delivering and exceeding budgeted performance. The successful candidate will provide relevant information to the Commercial and Senior Leadership Team.

    This is a challenging role that involves managing costs, reviewing management accounts, and monitoring data within our Company Inhouse Works Management System.

    The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in the Traffic Management, Construction, Utilities, or similar industry.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage costs and suggest journal requests as needed.
    • Review monthly management accounts and identify areas for improvement.
    • Monitor and maintain data within our Company Inhouse Works Management System.
    • Ensure timely and accurate billing of all work carried out within the region.
    • Manage Early Warning and Compensation Event process as set out in the Contract.
    • Face client disputes and establish strong client links.
    • Create in-contract pricing, estimates, and quotations.
    • Assist with aged debt, cash collection, and escalation if needed.
    • Prepare revenue reports to facilitate monthly management accounts preparation.

    Requirements:

    • 2-3 years of experience in Quantity Surveying.
    • Excellent negotiating skills.
    • Good understanding of the NEC form of contract.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
    • Confident use of IT/Digital system led solution to commercial management.
    • Understanding of management accounts and financial reporting processes.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.
    • Full UK driving license.
