About the roleKey Responsibilities:
Policy Management
Supporting changes to and / or the implementation of any new ER policies and procedures.
Updating policy content for the HR portal
Being the point of contact for the escalation of issues, policy and process interpretation.
Own and update employment policies and keeps pace with best practice and legal requirements.
Ensure compliance with UK Right to Work legal requirements and proactively communicate changes to legislation to the HR Team.
Case Management
Advising and coaching HRBPs and managers on handling employee issues, conflict resolution, and the interpretation of employment policies and practices.
Performance Management:
Provide guidance and support to managers on performance management matters, including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and termination processes.
Supporting disciplinary/ grievance hearings, appeals in a timely manner.Drafting outcome letters
Managing complex sickness absence cases
Supporting the Head of ER on complex cases and change programmes.
Conflict Resolution:
Mediate and facilitate conflict resolution between employees and/or between employees and management, promoting a positive
Ensuring all employee relations issues are dealt with in an effective and efficient manner in line with our policies.
Projects
Leading on Employee Relations Projects
Acting as an advocate of best practice and Employee Relations Policy on project groups.
Managing Data Subject Access requests in collaboration with the Data Privacy Team.
What we're looking for:
Financial services experience of working in an employee relations policy/ case management focused role.
Experience in developing and implementing employee relations policies and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make sound judgments and decisions in complex employee relations situations.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with tact, discretion, and professionalism.
Sound understanding of UK employment law.
Excellent Attention to detail
Team player
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling priorities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure whilst not compromising professional standards.
Strong communication skills
Ability to work with multiple sources of data and assimilate information quickly.
IT literacy and awareness including MS Office.
