CMA Recruitment Group is partnering exclusively with an SME construction business in Winchester, to support them with the recruitment of a Finance Manager.

The Finance Manager will provide financial support to the business Owners and Operational staff and have responsibility for managing the accounting department on a day-to-day basis.


What will the role of a Finance Manager involve?

  • Finance duties to include balance sheet reconciliations, end of year accounts, weekly cash flow forecasting, monthly reporting, credit control, and monthly reconciliations;
  • Responsible for payroll, CIS and VAT submissions;
  • Support the Sales and Operations teams in maintaining accurate data to ensure accurate job costing and profitability reporting;
  • Financial analysis for bespoke projects;
  • Review and amend processes to drive efficiencies and ensure they meet the business needs;
  • Line management responsibility of 2 junior staff.
  • A recognised accounting qualification i.e. minimum AAT qualified;
  • Advanced skills in Excel, ideally experience of using Sage;
  • Interpersonally, a handson and confident finance professional;
  • Previous financial management experience working with an SME structure, ideally within the construction/housing sector.
