The Role:

M&G are looking for a Project Manager to onboard mandates awarded to M&G plc. The team are looking for an experienced Project Manager with Agile experience with previous experience at an Asset Manager.

This is a great opportunity to work in a role that contributesenormous value to the company and offers valuable experience with senior stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities for this role:


  • Motivate a multidisciplined team of Public Debt (and/or external) stakeholders to ensure the project delivers on time and within budget.
  • Ability to take a handson role within the project, working with fund managers and investment professionals.
  • Manage senior stakeholders; and
  • Build successful relationships with the project delivery partners, including external legal advice, fund administrator, trustee / custodian and auditor.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in M&G's operational risk.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:


  • Project management experience within investment management with an understanding of different approaches.
  • A proven track record of successfully leading on, and delivering projects within a front office environment, across a wide range of functions.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal, with excellent active listening skills.
  • Strong influence and negotiating skills with an ability to manage a variety of stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work to tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects, considering evolving business priorities.
  • Strong analytic and proven problemsolving skills with an ability to negotiate pragmatic solutions to meet conflicting business requirements.
  • Highly motivated, proactive and resilient.
  • Ability to be flexible and to manage ambiguity during project delivery.
  • Must be a team player and able to work with and through others.
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organisation, with strong relationship management skills and client relationship skills; and
  • Good awareness of related regulations (e.g., UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID2 etc.).

Ideally, but not obligatory:

  • IMC
  • A project management qualification such as Prince
  • Familiarity with Agile.

  • For people managers, accountable for managing and motivating others to ensure quality of delivery to customers and stakeholders
  • Applies judgement to deliver outcomes, evaluating a range of potential solutions, considering the impact for customers, cost and risk
  • Manages conflicts that may impact delivery
  • Challenges upwards given knowledge of delivery and awareness of complex systems and the broader picture
  • Identifies and anticipates need for changes to continuously improve quality and efficiency of output
  • Manages resources and risks using expert judgment, knowhow and experience
