We are looking for a
Works Planner to join the Planning team
on a Temporary basis in this new role.

As a
Works Planner (Temporary) you will be responsible for the effective day-to-day operational management of the electronic scheduling system, ensuring that appointments are made and kept, views are monitored and kept up to date on a daily basis, productivity is maximised and customer care is paramount.


Requirements:

  • To be responsible for monitoring and managing work carried out within agreed timescales in accordance with the requirements/guidelines of Together Housing Group's Policies and Procedures, Homes and Communities Agency, Best Practice and Customers aspirations.
  • To be aware of the legal obligations as stated in Section 11, Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, to ensure that any Section 11 repairs are identified, prioritised and undertaken within the appropriate timescale.
  • To ensure that work output monitoring is carried out on a predetermined basis and regular monitoring reports are provided on each team/area/technician/trade/priority/timescales etc
  • To ensure that the operatives communicate in a timely and accurate manner about the progress of work in order to schedule their work in view of customer's requirements.
  • To reschedule jobs in the event of an unplanned absence of a tradesman, jobs over running, materials require ordering etc. and to contact the customer directly to agree any changes. To communicate any changes/updates directly with the affected customers and, in a nonmobile environment, with the technicians.
  • To ensure that pending or suspended jobs are rescheduled as promptly as possible, chasing outstanding material items etc. as required.
  • To communicate with the Planning and Repairs Systems Leader, the Customer and Business Development Team and Delivery Team about matters of work quality, timeliness and potential disciplinary related issues.
  • To communicate and coordinate the scheduling of repairs in conjunction with the Planning and Repairs Systems Leader, the Customer and Business Development Team, Delivery Team, Coordinators, Technicians, Customer Contact Team and other appropriate persons about changes/issues.

We are looking for someone who has

  • Experience in supporting the delivery of a front line responsive repair service to an upper quartile level.
  • Experience of working as part of a team.
  • Experience of working in a social housing repairs environment.
  • Working to set target time scales and deadlines
  • Knowledge of Section 11 of the Tenant and Landlord Act.
  • Flexible approach to working hours in order to achieve work demands/priorities
