Job Description:

The Role
Brookfield Infrastructure is looking to add a Summer intern to the London office, for a 10 week internship starting at the end of June 2024, who will work closely with a seasoned team of infrastructure investment professionals. The position provides an excellent opportunity to work on high profile transactions throughout Europe and to interact with and support the global investment team network.
The role represents an exciting opportunity to join the #1 asset manager in infrastructure private equity. Brookfield Infrastructure has assets under management of >$160bn globally, of which >$40bn in Europe. In 2023, Brookfield Infrastructure raised the industry's largest ever infrastructure fund ($28bn), the largest ever private infrastructure debt fund ($6bn), and has one of the largest openended core funds ($10bn).
Brookfield Infrastructure has a team of around 50 professionals in London and Madrid, with a long history of executing successful investments in a variety of industries and geographies with deep financial and operational turnaround roots.
Recent marquee transactions by the Brookfield Infrastructure group include:
$19bn acquisition of Deutsche Telekom's tower portfolio (Europe, 2023)

- $4bn acquisition of Data4, leading European data center developer (Europe, 2023)

Responsibilities for this position would include the following:

Originating and evaluating new investment opportunities
Conducting indepth due diligence on potential acquisitions
Researching companies and industry dynamics
Preparing investment committee materials, and other transaction documents
Taking an active role in the strategy and management of portfolio companies
Contributing to a flexible, dynamic, and teamoriented working culture that fosters personal development and a positive attitude
Engaging in other special projects as required
Suggested Requirements:
A professional, positive, and curious attitude
4 6 years of experience in Principal Investing, Investment Banking, Restructuring, or other relevant areas
Ability to contribute to a dynamic and teamoriented culture
Experience in conducting due diligence is an asset
Infrastructure experience is an asset but not requirement
Good understanding of capital structures is an asset
High level of proficiency in Excel and outstanding financial modeling skills
Additional European language preferred
